Work towards UK Qualifications with Ocean Warriors:

Founded in 2023, Ocean Warriors Lifesaving Club is the first Surf Lifesaving GB club outside the UK and the only RLSS UK‑accredited club in the UAE, offering a unique pathway for children, teens and adults to build real‑world rescue, safety and ocean confidence skills.

Based at Jumeirah Beach, Ocean Warriors blends beach, pool and ocean activities with fitness, teamwork and leadership development.

Programmes span all ages — from Water Babies (ages 3–4) and Nippers (ages 5–13) to Junior Lifesaver (ages 13-16), Surf Lifeguard Award (adults).

Schools and community groups can access Rookie Lifeguard (ages 8-12) and National Lifesaving Academy programmes (ages 12 and over).

Ocean Warriors also delivers water safety education, beach safety workshops and drowning‑prevention initiatives across the UAE, supporting schools, organisations and Duke of Edinburgh Award participants.

What is Ocean Warriors Lifesaving Club?

Ocean Warriors is Dubai’s community‑driven lifesaving club, dedicated to creating safer beaches through water safety education, practical training and internationally recognised lifesaving qualifications.

Focused on surf lifesaving rather than traditional learn‑to‑swim, Ocean Warriors builds confidence, resilience and practical decision‑making in real environments.

Through its UK accreditations, members can achieve internationally recognised awards in lifesaving, rescue, first aid and lifeguarding.

Participants go on an all-inclusive, progressive, and structured journey (educational & physical) from Nippers to Juniors and thereafter seniors. The youngest age groups in nippers focus on personal surf skills, ocean and beach awareness and safety, and a very basic introduction to First Aid, whilst improving their fitness, confidence and fun.

2

Once the children are 12 years old they start to practice and learn more in-depth rescue methods and First Aid scenarios to prepare them for taking other awards such as a Junior Lifeguard Certificate.

3

Upon reaching 16 years of age, the children will be able to do their Beach Lifeguard Award which comprises International certification and a local KHDA and Dubai Municipality approved award.

During this journey, the participants will gain improved self-confidence and fitness levels, enhanced social and team-building skills, sun sense, beach and water safety, rescue proficiency, and First Aid skills.
